Surfing is a great connection to Nature and this makes us realize the Universe is much bigger than our own lives. Scientists say the ocean is one of the most complicated phenomena in the Universe and they don’t completely understand how it works and how we get rogue waves.

Surfing is a Full Body Sport

Surfing is one of the most physically demanding full body sports and getting is surf shape will change the quality of most life styles. Surfers like to be lean to be more agile and place less weight on the surfboard. They need to be strong to push their body up and rise on two feet to stand up. They need great flexibility to get their feet under their body on the pop up.

Getting in the ocean regularly is great for attitude. I always feel refreshed, mellow, and alive after getting out of the ocean from surfing. I like having surfing as part of my day as do the many surfers who get in the water before work. Its one thing you can do positive for your life every day. It is a real attitude adjuster.

Surfing Activates the Brain and the Body

Surfing is a learning experience. The brain and the body have to work together and sometimes we don’t have that experience after being a teenager. Coordination is getting the body and brain to synchronize for tasks and learning one sport can lead to learning others more easily. Boarders often like board sports so that snowboarders, skateboarders, wake surfers, skiers, and surfers all share some common experiences.

Its fun. So many people who can’t surf well still enjoy catching waves on a surfboard. It is a super boogie board. it doesn’t cost any money to go into the ocean if you live near. It can be enjoyed for a life time at many resorts. It is a great family experience because everyone can surf in the same spot. Kids can engage in something healthy with a lot of other participants. You start caring about the ocean and environment when you want the ocean and its creatures to be healthy.
